Urban Oasis
Situated in a suburb of Boston, this intimate backyard space began as a steeply sloped backyard that was mostly unusable. A stepped boulder retaining wall levels the lawn space and provides an elevated planting bed of fastigiate Red Obelisk Beech trees. Tucked in the back corner of the yard resides a custom bluestone fire pit terrace with custom stainless steel cooking grate. Off the home's rear entrance is situated a patio space complete with surrounding seat walls, raised circular planter housing a Japanese Maple and a custom Ipe' screen to block views towards the neighbor's house. Where there was once a neglected sloped lawn, now there resides beautiful spaces that offer practical outdoor living to our client's family.
